Diesel Drops Further
Diesel continues to slip for the second week in a row and is down 11% from last year. But we still have a long way to go in matching the drop in crude prices
    Key Observations
- The national retail price dropped another 4.5 cents per gallon last week. This is second week in a row it has decreased. It's now down over 10 cents a gallon since April 7.
 - The annualized average price dropped a penny to $3.62/gallon. That is 14 cents lower than the annualized average for 2024.
 - Prices are down 46 cents a gallon from the same period last year. That's a 11.5% drop which sounds like a lot, but not when you consider crude oil prices have dropped over 24% in that same period.
