Fuel prices continued their gradual upward trajectory last week, but they are still off recent highs.

National Observations
- Nationally, diesel prices rose just under 2 cents/gallon last week. This is the third week in a row of incremental increases.
- The new average of $3.758/gallon is now within 2 cents of the most recent peak. The annualized average has crept up to $3.60/gallon.

Regional Observations
- The Rocky Mountain region had the largest jump last week. Prices rose an average of 4.7 cents/gallon. California wasn't far behind with its 4-cent-a-gallon increase.
- The Midwest was the least inflationary with no price change from the previous week. But it is still 2 cents/gallon more expensive than the Rocky Mountain region.
