Diesel Prices Rise Again
Diesel prices rose 1.7% last week, gaining back a lot of the price decrease of the past month.

National Observations
- The national average rose 6 cents per gallon last week. The sharp increase comes after five consecutive weeks of decreases.
- The current average is close to the average price the week of April 21. But it is still well below the highest level of the year - $3.715 - from early January. The YTD average is still just below $3.60.

Regional Observations
- The biggest jump was on the West Coast. California prices actually rose less than the rest of the West Coast states, increasing 7.5 cents/gallon vs over 9 cents a gallon for the other states.
- The smallest increases were on the East Coast and in the Rocky Mountain region. Both areas saw increases of under 5 cents a gallon.
