Diesel Rollercoaster Continues
After a brief uptick, diesel prices are headed down again.

National Observations
- Fuel prices dropped just under 3 cents a gallon nationally last week. This reverses the uptick we had been seeing the previous three weeks.
- For the year, we are still well below the annual average of last year. For all of 2024, diesel averaged $3.76/gallon. As of last week, we were averaging $3.64/gallon for 2025.

Regional Observations
- The biggest price drop last week was in the Midwest region. Diesel averaged 4.4 cents/gallon lower there.
- The Gulf Coast saw the smallest increase of 1.5 cents/gallon. In California, fuel actually inched up a little to $4.971, 1.3 cents/gallon higher than the previous week.
