Diesel's Slide Continues
Fuel prices were down another 4 cents a gallon across the nation last week.

National Observations
- Nationally, diesel dropped another 4.1 cents per gallon last week. This is the fourth week in a row of fuel-price easing.
- The current national average price of $3.713 is the lowest it has been in two months. The average was at $3.571 the week of June 16 before it rose steeply.
- Even with the latest drop, the average price for the year is still elevated. At $3.63/gallon, the YTD average is right where it was at the beginning of January.

Regional Observations
- The Gulf Coast and West Coast without California saw the largest drops last week. Prices in both regions were down over 5 cents per gallon.
- The decreases were more tempered in the Rocky Mountain region and California. Prices were down just under 2 cents a gallon in both areas.
