Diesel prices took a breather last week after a month of increases.

National Observations
- National diesel prices eased slightly last week, breaking a four-week upward trend. The latest average of $3.805 a gallon was just under a penny less than the previous week.
- Diesel prices remain at an elevated level. They are still above anything we have seen in the past 12 months.

Regional Observations
- The biggest drop last week was in the Gulf Coast region. Prices dropped an average of 2.2 cents per gallon there.
- The only increase was in West Coast states excluding California. You paid 1.3 cents more per gallon if you fueled in Oregon and Washington last week.
